CABARRUS COUNTY <br />A <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 19, 2015 <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />DHS - Transportation - Rural Operating Assistance Program (ROAP) - <br />Public Hearing 6:30 P.M. <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Rural Operating Assistance Program (ROAP) is a State - funded <br />transportation grant program administered by the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation. It includes the following programs: <br />- Elderly and disabled (EDTAP) <br />- Employment transportation assistance program (EMPL) <br />-Rural general public (RGP) <br />These funds provide critical transportation services to elderly and disabled <br />citizens, assisting them with access to medical services and employment <br />services.
