CABARRUS COUNTY <br />r� <br />BOARD OF • • <br />REGULAR <br />JANUARY i <br />6: 30 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Active Living and Parks - Transfer of Funds to Purchase Baseball Mounds for Tournament Play at <br />County Parks <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Active Living and Parks is requesting funds for the purchase of 13 baseball mounds for <br />tournament play at County parks. The baseball mounds will cost $1,100 each, totaling $14,300 <br />with a discount offered in the amount of $1,100, netting a cost to the County of $13,200. The <br />Parks are utilized by many tournaments and organizations and the mounds are in need of <br />replacement. Through an agreement with the CVB, the County receives five percent of the gross <br />revenues from occupancy tax for such purchases.
