CABARRUS COUNTY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 17, 2014
6:30 P.M.
AGENDA CATEGORY:
Appointments to Boards and Committees
SUBJECT:
Appointments (Removals) - Council for a Sustainable Local Economy
(CSLE)
BRIEF SUMMARY:
The terms of appointment for members of the Council for a Sustainable
Local Economy ended December 31, 2013. Several members of the
CSLE have decided not to pursue reappointment. The lack of members
seeking reappointment leaves only one remaining member on the
Council, which prohibits this group from moving forward for the remainder
of FY2014. There was no additional funding for this project planned for the
FY 2014 -15 budget, based on the consensus of the Board of
Commissioners.
REQUESTED ACTION:
Motion to remove Jerry Weikle, Francis Koster, Chris Pinto, Jim Fulton,
Heath Ritchie, (William) Robert Higbee, Robin Pope, Ronnie Long, Helen
McInnis, Joshua Knipp and Debra Medlin from the Council for a
Sustainable Local Economy (CSLE) as requested and to thank them for
their service.
Motion to relieve the remaining member, Robert Brown, from his
appointment and duties to the CSLE, due to lack of membership and
funding, and to thank him for his service.
EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION:
H -4 Page 139
