A draft of the notice of public hearing is attached to this <br />letter. <br />As described in the notice, the principal amount of the Bonds will not exceed <br />$39,261,000 and will be used to (1) finance and refinance various capital projects <br />including the acquisition, construction, reconstruction, renovation, equipping, and/or any <br />other capital expenditures and related expenses, as applicable, of multiple charter schools <br />including the charter school educational facilities located at 7807 Caldwell Road, <br />Harrisburg, North Carolina 28075, with the applicable facility sometimes referred to as <br />"A.C.E. Academy," (2) pay costs of issuance and (3) fund capitalized interest in <br />connection therewith. From the proceeds of the Bonds, an amount not to exceed <br />$3,422,000 will be used with respect to A.C.E. Academy. <br />I hope this letter provides you the information you need in order to hold the public <br />hearing at the Board's February 17, 2014, meeting, but please call me if you have any <br />questions. I am happy to answer any questions about Vertex, A.C.E. Academy or the <br />Bonds. Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A., as our counsel, will be present at your <br />February 17, 2014, meeting should you have any questions at that time. Caroline Sink <br />with Robinson Bradshaw has been in communication with the County Attorney, Mr. <br />Richard Koch.
