Section 3 <br />Human Services <br />a. The Human Services Director reports to the County EOC upon activation. The Human <br />Services Director is assigned to the Coordination Group in the EOC. <br />b. Coordinate the continuation of Human Services (social services) to County residents during <br />emergency situations (emergency food stamps, crisis intervention money, etc.). Be prepared <br />to provide emergency benefits within the resources of the Human Services Department. <br />c. Coordinate with the CHA, Cardinal Innovations (formerly Piedmont Behavioral Health), and <br />other government and nongovernmental agencies to provide support personnel during <br />emergency situations. <br />d. Develop and maintain mutual aid agreements with surrounding counties to support local <br />human services in emergency situations. <br />e. Coordinate with Adult Care homes to ensure development of emergency procedures and <br />policies. All plans will be coordinated with the County Emergency Management Department. <br />f. Prepare to assist in ARC shelter operations. Coordinate with ARC, Salvation Army, and <br />other nongovernmental organizations to provide resources and personnel to support shelters <br />throughout the County. <br />g. Provide personnel trained to support ARC shelter operations. Planning and Development is responsible for a number of Cabarrus County service areas, <br />including 911 addressing, planning and zoning, construction standards, and soil and water <br />conservation. <br />b.
