1. Persons may wish to volunteer their personal time and services to assist in the response to <br />the emergency. <br />2. The PIO establishes a telephone bank to receive inquires from the public. The operators <br />encourage individuals interested in volunteering services to affiliate with a recognized <br />private voluntary non - government organization (American Red Cross, Salvation Army, <br />etc.) or other organized group of their choice, such as church groups. <br />3. The Emergency Management Coordinator and County government department leaders <br />identify potential volunteers who have specific technical skills needed during response <br />operations. <br />4. The Tax Administration Department registers volunteers from the general public. The <br />Tax Administration Director provides daily registration updates to the EOC and <br />coordinates to provide volunteers to the agencies seeking particular skills. <br />5. The ARC coordinates the housing and feeding of public volunteers. Those government <br />department and agencies employing volunteers provide a headcount to the ARC <br />representative at the EOC each day to assist support planning. <br />IV. DIRECTION AND CONTROL <br />A. The Tax Administration Department directs and controls Donations Management. <br />B. The Emergency Management Coordinator approves all shipments and deployments of <br />volunteer labor or services. <br />V. CONTINUITY OF GOVERNMENT <br />A. Staffing assignments for positions in the EOC allow for continuous operations. <br />B. Selection and assignment of personnel is the responsibility of the agencies represented. <br />C. Once assigned to the EOC, the Emergency Management Coordinator (EOC Manager) <br />supervises these personnel. <br />D. In the event that the primary EOC is not functional, the Emergency Management Coordinator <br />activates an alternate EOC and notifies the Board of Commissioners of this change. <br />Transportation is provided to any County Commissioners who cannot reach the EOC <br />locations. <br />E.
