CABARRUS COUNTY <br />r <br />BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />#C 1' to <br />MAY 19 2014 <br />m <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Planning and Development - Proposed Text Amendments to Zoning <br />Ordinance (TEXT2014- 00005) - Public Hearing 6:30 P.M. <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The purpose of the changes to Chapter 2 is to add definitions for Solar <br />Farm and Solar Panel. The ordinance currently does not define these <br />items. <br />The amendment to Chapter 8 adds language to address #17, Public <br />Service Facility, solar farm use. Changes are also proposed to Table 1, <br />Separation Requirements from Offsite Uses /Areas and Table 2, <br />Separation Distances Between Towers, in #36, Wireless Communications <br />Towers, to clarify how these separations are measured. <br />Please see the attached memo for additional information. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />1. Receive staff report. <br />2. Hold Public Hearing. <br />3.
