NOTICE OF INTENTION TO FILE AN APPLICATION <br />WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION <br />FOR APPROVAL OF BONDS <br />Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North <br />Carolina (the "Board "), intends to file an application with the Local Government Commission <br />(the "LGC ") for its approval of the issuance of the following proposed bonds of the County of <br />Cabarrus, North Carolina, which bonds shall be subject to the approval of the voters of said <br />County at a referendum: <br />$34 General Obligation School Bonds for the <br />purpose of providing funds, with any other available funds, to <br />finance, in part, ( )-the acquisition, construction, installation and <br />equipping of a new public middle sehea' i Kann palls within <br />, <br />$23 , 000 , 000 o f Sehaei Bonds aee ,ate a nd (ii) the �rtieir <br />elementary <br />school to replace the existing Royal Oaks Elementary School—,te -be <br />fended with net mer-e than $11,000,000 ef Seheel Bends pr-eeeeds, <br />including acquisition of necessary land and rights -of -way. <br />Any citizen or taxpayer of Cabarrus County who objects to said bonds in whole or in part may, at <br />any time within seven days from the date of publication of this Notice, file with the undersigned <br />and the LGC a statement setting forth his or her objections and containing his or her name and <br />address as provided in Section 159 -50 of the General Statutes of North Carolina. The mailing <br />address for the LGC is Albemarle Building, 325 North Salisbury Street, Raleigh, North Carolina <br />27603 -1385. Anyone who files a statement of objections with the LGC shall also file a copy of <br />said statement with the undersigned at Cabarrus County Governmental Center, 65 Church Street, <br />S.E., P.O. Box 707, Concord, North Carolina 28026.
