Cabarrus Roots is a Business Retention and Expansion Program, a vital component of a commu- <br />nity's economic development strategy. Existing customers are the best and most reliable re- <br />CflBARRUS source to gauge and understand the state of the local economy and to identify workforce issues <br />and barriers to growth. <br />ROV The goal is to meet face -to -face with executives, owners and key decision makers in a wide array <br />of business and industry. The purpose of these meetings is to gain a better understanding of local <br />business needs and expectations. The EDC accomplishes this through asking questions focused on <br />all aspects of business, including workforce, technology, education, expansion plans, utilities and <br />overall quality of the community.
