NOTICE OF INTENTION TO FILE AN APPLICATION <br />WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION <br />FOR APPROVAL OF BONDS <br />Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North Carolina (the <br />"Board "), intends to file an application with the Local Government Commission (the "LGC ") for <br />its approval of the issuance of the following proposed bonds of the County of Cabarrus, North <br />Carolina, which bonds shall be subject to the approval of the voters of said County at a <br />referendum: <br />$11,000,000 General Obligation School Bonds for the purpose of <br />providing funds, with any other available funds, to finance, in part, <br />the acquisition, construction, installation and equipping of a new <br />public elementary school to replace the existing Royal Oaks <br />Elementary School, including acquisition of necessary land and <br />rights -of -way. <br />Any citizen or taxpayer of Cabarrus County who objects to said bonds in whole or in part may, at <br />any time within seven days from the date of publication of this Notice, file with the undersigned <br />and the LGC a statement setting forth his or her objections and containing his or her name and <br />address as provided in Section 159 -50 of the General Statutes of North Carolina. The mailing <br />address for the LGC is Albemarle Building, 325 North Salisbury Street, Raleigh, North Carolina <br />27603 -1385. Anyone who files a statement of objections with the LGC shall also file a copy of <br />said statement with the undersigned at Cabarrus County Governmental Center, 65 Church Street, <br />S.E., P.O. Box 707, Concord, North Carolina 28026.
