Commissioner then moved that the foregoing bond order be "introduced," <br />such motion was seconded by Commissioner , and a vote thereon was as follows: <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br />Not Voting: <br />Commissioner <br />introduced the following resolution, and its title was read: <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />$11,000,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION SCHOOL BONDS; PROVIDING <br />FOR NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING; AND PUBLICATION OF BOND ORDER AS <br />INTRODUCED <br />WHEREAS, there has been introduced by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County (the <br />"Board ") a bond order entitled "ORDER AUTHORIZING $11,000,000 OF GENERAL OBLIGATION <br />SCHOOL BONDS "; and <br />WHEREAS, N.C.G.S. §159-54 provides there shall be a public hearing on the bond order and <br />N.C.G.S. § 159 -56 provides for publication of the bond order as introduced; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Cabarrus, North Carolina: <br />1. A public hearing on the bond order shall be held at 6:30 p.m., (or as soon thereafter as the <br />hearing can be held), in the Commissioners' Meeting Room in the Cabarrus County Governmental Center <br />in Concord, North Carolina on July 21, 2014. <br />2. The Clerk to the Board shall cause the bond order, with a statement appended in the form <br />described by N.C.G.S. §159 -56, to be published once in The Independent Tribune not later than the sixth <br />(6 day before July 21, 2014. <br />3. Either of the County Manager or the Finance Officer is hereby designated to file the <br />sworn statement of debt and the statement of estimated interest with respect to the school bonds, each <br />being required by N.C.G.S. §159 -55. <br />4.
