CABARRUS COUNTY <br />1 4' BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />rR CARd 1 ��4 <br />JUNE 16 , <br />• P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Human Services - Review and Award Contract for Secondary <br />Transportation Services <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Human Services Transportation Division issued an RFP, in <br />accordance with the Department of Transportation, for secondary <br />transportation vendors for occasions when CCTS is unable to provide the <br />needed transportation service due to capacity or distance. <br />Upon review of the bids, the division requests to award two contracts for <br />services based on cost, history and experience. By awarding two <br />contracts, the division is able to maximize services for the lowest possible <br />cost. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the contract between Cabarrus County and TJ'S Taxi <br />and American Alternative; and authorize the County Manager to execute <br />the contract on behalf of Cabarrus County, subject to review or revision by <br />the County Attorney. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Bob Bushey, Transportation Manager <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />F -4 Page 44 <br />
