ADDITION
CABARRUS COUNTY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
REGULAR MEETING
JULY 21 2014
6:30 P.M.
AGENDA CATEGORY:
Recognitions and Presentations
SUBJECT:
ITS - Recognition of 2014 12th Annual Digital Counties Survey
Achievement
BRIEF SUMMARY:
Cabarrus County came in second place in the 2014 12th Annual Digital
Counties Survey. All U.S. counties were invited to participate in the survey
conducted by The Center for Digital Government, Digital Communities
Program and the National Association of Counties (NACo). The
convergence of universal mobility with interactive social media
technologies has pushed governments to develop technology initiatives
that extend value and improve experiences with government for citizens
and businesses, while simultaneously improving internal operations. The
Digital Counties Survey provides an annual measure of county
performance and innovation in using technology.
REQUESTED ACTION:
Recognize the performance of the Cabarrus County ITS Department in
their efforts to further promote innovative technology for Cabarrus County
Government.
EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION:
5 Minutes
SUBMITTED BY:
Deborah A. Brannan, ITS Director
C -2 Page 63
