CABARRUS COUNTY <br />1 4' BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />rR CARa 1� ►�� AUGUST 18 2 <br />1 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Human Services - Community Transportation Service Plan Resolution <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The North Carolina Department of Transportation requires community <br />transportation systems to engage in a strategic planning process to <br />assess the needs of the transit system and recommend strategies of <br />operation and management that increase mobility options for passengers <br />and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization and <br />transportation services. Cabarrus County Division of Transportation has <br />properly budgeted the required match for the planning process. The <br />Division requests the adoption of the required resolution authorizing the <br />County Manager to engage in a contract with the Department of <br />Transportation to conduct the planning process. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to adopt resolution. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Ben Rose, Human Services Director <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />COUNTY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS /COMMENTS: <br />This item was approved by the Board for inclusion on the Agenda as a <br />F -3 Page 45 <br />
