CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 20, 2014 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments - Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cameron McKnight (Kannapolis City Schools) and Hunter Moore <br />(Cabarrus County Schools) have submitted an application to serve on the <br />Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC). Hunter Moore currently serves <br />on the Cabarrus County Youth Council. An exception to the "multiple <br />service" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for him. <br />The JCPC voted to recommend the Board of Commissioners appoint Mr. <br />McKnight and Mr. Moore to serve on the JCPC as the "Student under 18" <br />representatives. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to appoint Cameron McKnight (Kannapolis City Schools) as a <br />"Student under 18" representative to the Juvenile Crime Prevention <br />Council for a two -year term ending June 30, 2016. <br />Motion to appoint Hunter Moore (Cabarrus County Schools) as a "Student <br />under 18" representative to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council for a <br />two -year term ending June 30, 2016; including an exception to the <br />"multiple service" provision of the Appointment Policy. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />1 Minute <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Megan Smit, Clerk to the Board <br />H -2 Page 272 <br />
