The need for a diversified funding stream to support the ongoing work and programing at the <br />Elma C. Lomax Incubator Farm is apparent. Work on such a diverse funding strategy is already <br />underway. Currently that strategy includes: <br />1. $25,00o Barnraiser campaign, a crowd - funded online effort supported by Scott Avett <br />and Family. <br />https: / /www.barnraiser.us/proiects /lomax- farm - launch- new - organic- farmers <br />2. Direct Contributions. To date this total exceeds $12,000. <br />3. Fundraising Events. Three such events are planned for 2015. <br />4. Corporate Sponsorships. $1,50o has already been raised and other such efforts are just <br />beginning to take shape. <br />5. Lomax Participation Fees <br />6. County Contribution <br />Upon BOC approval of this plan and extension of the agreement as described above, CFSA will <br />be able to receive and disperse funds, allowing individuals, organizations and startup businesses <br />currently operating at Lomax to be able to continue their work and for more participation to <br />develop in 2015. <br />Attachment number 1 <br />F -12 Page 169 <br />
