Employees and Board Members are not allowed to personally, financially or materially gain or <br />benefit from their relationship with Salisbury Rowan Community Action Agency Inc, (hereinafter <br />SRCAA inc.) and an agency business relationship. Employees are responsible for avoiding any <br />and all known and discovered conflict of interest situations. <br />5. Employees and Board Members who are in a fiduciary position, who have the apparent or <br />actual authority to make contractual decisions regarding business contracts that relate to the <br />operation of SRCAA Inc., are prohibited from accepting gifts, contributions, current orfuture <br />monetary exchanges or anything of value in exchange for contractual agreements. <br />5. No "presumption of guilt" is created by the mere existence of a relationship with outside firms. <br />However, if employees and board members have any influence on transactions involving <br />purchases, contracts, or leases, it is imperative that they disclose to Executive Director of S- <br />RCAA, inc. as soon as possible the existence of any actual or potential conflict of interest so that <br />safeguards can be established to protect all parties. <br />7. Personal gain is when an employee, board member or their relative owns a significant <br />percentage in a firm that does business with S -RCAA. Additionally, personal gain is when an <br />employee, board member or relative receives any kickback, bribe, substantial gift, or special <br />consideration as a result of any transaction or business dealings involving S -RCAA, Inc. <br />8. Violation of this policy will result in termination of employment with the Salisbury Rowan <br />Community Action Agency inc.
