C. To develop financial planning, identify resources, and assist in securing funds from the corporate and the private sector. ARTICLE IV Membership of Commission Section 1. Each member of the Commission shall be appointed by the Council of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, as hereinafter set forth. Members of the Commission shall be broadly representative from all planning areas of Cabarrus County and be interested in and supportive of the goals of the Commission. Section 2. The Active Living and Parks Commission shall be composed of ten (10) Cabarrus County citizens, one (1) Sr. Centers Advisory Council Member, and one (1) representative from the Cabarrus County Council of Commissioners serving as non - voting liaison. Section 3. One member from the Senior Centers Advisory Council will be appointed to serve on the Active Living and Parks Commission. One member of the Active Living and Park Commission will be appointed to serve on the Senior Centers Advisory Council. The Senior Centers Advisory Council meets the third Monday of each month, 11:OOam, at the Concord Senior Center. Section 4. A member from each Council(s) of Education ( Cabarrus County and City of Kannapolis) shall serve as a voting member on the Commission. Section 5. Each member of the Commission shall be appointed by the Cabarrus County Council of Commissioners to include the following representatives: Seat 1 - Kannapolis School Council Representative Seat 2 - Cabarrus County School Council Representative Seat 3 - Concord Planning Area Seat 4 - Eastern Planning Area Seat 5 - Kannapolis Planning Area Seat 6 - Central Planning Area Seat 7 — Midland Planning Area Seat 8 - Northwest Cabarrus Planning Area Seat 9 - Harrisburg Planning Area SEAT 10 — Senior Centers Advisory Council SEAT 11 — At -Large Representative 3 H -3 Attachment number 2 Page 161
