C. To develop financial planning, identify resources, and assist in <br />securing funds from the corporate and the private sector. <br />ARTICLE IV <br />Membership of Commission <br />Section 1. Each member of the Commission shall be appointed by the Council of <br />County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, as hereinafter set forth. <br />Members of the Commission shall be broadly representative from all <br />planning areas of Cabarrus County and be interested in and supportive of <br />the goals of the Commission. <br />Section 2. The Active Living and Parks Commission shall be composed of ten (10) <br />Cabarrus County citizens, one (1) Sr. Centers Advisory Council Member, <br />and one (1) representative from the Cabarrus County Council of <br />Commissioners serving as non - voting liaison. <br />Section 3. One member from the Senior Centers Advisory Council will be appointed <br />to serve on the Active Living and Parks Commission. One member of the <br />Active Living and Park Commission will be appointed to serve on the <br />Senior Centers Advisory Council. The Senior Centers Advisory Council <br />meets the third Monday of each month, 11:OOam, at the Concord Senior <br />Center. <br />Section 4. A member from each Council(s) of Education ( Cabarrus County and City <br />of Kannapolis) shall serve as a voting member on the Commission. <br />Section 5. Each member of the Commission shall be appointed by the Cabarrus <br />County Council of Commissioners to include the following <br />representatives: <br />Seat 1 - Kannapolis School Council Representative <br />Seat 2 - Cabarrus County School Council Representative <br />Seat 3 - Concord Planning Area <br />Seat 4 - Eastern Planning Area <br />Seat 5 - Kannapolis Planning Area <br />Seat 6 - Central Planning Area <br />Seat 7 — Midland Planning Area <br />Seat 8 - Northwest Cabarrus Planning Area <br />Seat 9 - Harrisburg Planning Area <br />SEAT 10 — Senior Centers Advisory Council <br />SEAT 11 — At -Large Representative <br />3 <br />H -3 <br />Attachment number 2 <br />Page 161 <br />
