Grant staff will develop lesson plans, teach <br />classes and train staff and volunteers. There will be 4 class types: 1) For adults to learn basic computer skills, use <br />of the PAC, MSOffice applications, NC LIVE databases, job searching skills, resume writing, genealogy skills, and <br />demonstrations on other library databases; 2) For adults to learn technology skills. Classes will include instruction <br />on the use of cell /smart phones, eReaders and other related devices; 3) For adults served by the Literacy Council. <br />The classes will include basic computer skills and literacy related classes using software geared toward low level <br />adult readers and new adult readers; 4) For Literacy Council volunteers. Volunteer tutors will how to use computers <br />and technology with their students. <br />Once technology and computer skills are learned patrons can achieve personal goals which may include getting a <br />new job, advancing at current job, completing or furthering education, learning to use library resources, or just <br />learning new skills. <br />Certification and signatures (please sign below in blue ink) <br />We are aware of, and agree to comply with, all state and federal provisions and assurances required under this grant <br />program.
