EXTRACT FROM MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF <br />THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS, NORTH CAROLINA <br />The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, met in regular <br />session in the Commissioner's Meeting Room in the Cabarrus County Governmental Center in <br />Concord, North Carolina, the regular meeting, at 6:30 p.m., on March 18, 2013, with <br />, Chairman, presiding. The following Commissioners were: <br />PRESENT: Vice Chairman and Commissioners <br />and <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: Michael K. Downs, County Manager; Pamela S. Dubois, Deputy <br />County Manager; Ann M. Wilson, Finance Director; Richard M. Koch, Esq., County Attorney; <br />and Megan I.E. Smit, Clerk to the Board <br />The Chairman announced that this was the date and hour fixed by the Board for the <br />public hearing in the order entitled: "ORDER AUTHORIZING $95,580,000 REFUNDING <br />BONDS" and that the Board would immediately hear anyone who might wish to be heard on the <br />question of the validity of said order or the advisability of issuing any of said bonds. <br />The Chairman stated that the proceeds of the Refunding Bonds in the aggregate principal <br />amount not exceeding $95,580,000 would be used for the purpose of providing funds, together <br />with other available funds, to refund all or a portion of the County's outstanding School Bonds, <br />Series 2005 and Public Improvement Bonds, Series 2006, each as described in the published <br />notice of the public hearing, and paying expenses related thereto. <br />No one appeared, either in person or by attorney, to be heard of the question of the <br />validity of said order or the advisability of issuing any of said bonds and the Clerk to the Board <br />announced that no written statement relating to said questions had been received. <br />It was then announced that the public hearing was closed. <br />Chairman then stated that the Board having held the required public hearing <br />thereon, it was now time for the Board to consider adoption of the order introduced on first <br />reading on February 18, 2013 entitled: "ORDER AUTHORIZING $95,580,000 REFUNDING <br />BONDS." <br />Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner , seconded by Commissioner <br />, the order entitled: "ORDER AUTHORIZING $95,580,000 REFUNDING <br />Attachment number 1 <br />G -1 Page 186 <br />
