CABARRUS COUNTY <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />pTxarcA�a�� <br />M ARCH 1 <br />��fiiffJfl /�� <br />1 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - One Time Funding Senior Center Expansion and <br />Related Budget Amendment <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Board of Commissioners requested that County staff study options to <br />provide additional instructional and exercise space at the Senior Center in <br />Concord and approved Morris Berg Architects to perform that work. The <br />results were presented to the Board and to the Senior Center Advisory <br />Committee and the third option was chosen. This item is being presented <br />for approval as a one time spending project in the FY2013 Budget with a <br />cost of $390,000 including architects fees, estimated construction cost, <br />and 10% contingency. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the Senior Center Expansion project including the <br />required budget amendment, related project ordinance and to authorize <br />the County Manager and County Attorney to complete the contract with <br />Morris Berg Architects for design. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
