CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />Ir <br />AUGUST 19 <br />` �is��llJll <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Request from the Town of Midland for a Sewer <br />Easement Across Wallace Park Property <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Town of Midland is planning improvements to provide sanitary sewer <br />services to additional parts of the town. The planned improvements <br />include the construction of a new sewer line across property obtained by <br />the County for a southern regional park. This sewer line is to be <br />constructed through an agreement with the Water & Sewer Authority of <br />Cabarrus County (WSACC), which recently approved the project and <br />budget for that purpose. The Town is responsible for obtaining easements <br />for the sewer line. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve a sewer line easement to the Town of Midland, instruct <br />staff on the terms of that agreement and authorize the County Manager to <br />execute the documents necessary for that transfer, subject to review <br />and /or revision by the County Attorney. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
