CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />r <br />z ft 0 AUGUST 19, 2013 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Cooperative Extension - Receipt of Cannon Foundation Grant Proceeds <br />from the Cabarrus 4 -H Foundation, Inc. - $35,000 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cannon Foundation, Inc. has awarded the Cabarrus County 4 -H <br />Foundation a $35,000 grant to be used for the 4 -H STEM program and <br />administered by the Cabarrus County Cooperative Extension <br />Department's 4 -H program. The Cabarrus County 4 -H Foundation will <br />serve as a pass- through agency for this grant. The Foundation received <br />the grant donation on June 26, 2013 and the funds are required to be <br />spent prior to June 1, 2014. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to accept the Cannon Foundation grant for the Cabarrus County 4- <br />H Foundation and approve the related budget revision. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Robert B.
