CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION OF COUNTY BOUNDARIES COMMON <br />WITH THE COUNTIES OF CABARRUS AND STANLY <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Geodetic Survey has been <br />designated and funded by the North Carolina General Assembly to <br />assist with the resurvey of ambiguous or uncertain county <br />boundaries pursuant to GS 153A -18; and, <br />WHEREAS, The North Carolina Geodetic Survey has resurveyed a part of the Cabarrus <br />and Stanly County lines; and <br />WHEREAS, in 1994, 1997, 1999, and 2006 the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />requested the assistance of the North Carolina Geodetic Survey (NCGS) to survey and help <br />establish the location of all county lines common with adjacent counties pursuant to GS 153A- <br />18; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to GS 153A -18, Greg Belk, Special Boundary Commissioner for <br />Cabarrus County has supervised the surveying, marking, mapping, and has acted as a liaison <br />between Cabarrus County and the NCGS. <br />WHEREAS, it will take considerable time and effort for the Counties to properly divide <br />and appraise each of the affected parcels, the effective date of this line will be December 31, <br />2014. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />does hereby accept the County lines as shown on the plat titled "County Boundary Re- survey <br />Plat For: THE CABARRUS - STANLY COUNTY LINE, Cabarrus County & Stanly County, North <br />Carolina," and dated May 2013, as being the true boundary between the Counties. <br />Adopted the 16 day of September, 2013. <br />Elizabeth F.
