CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 21, 2013 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Recognitions and Presentations <br />SUBJECT: <br />Planning & Development - Soil <br />Recognition of Ned Hudson as <br />Conservation District Board Member <br />& Water Conservation District - <br />2013 North Carolina Outstanding <br />The North Carolina District Employees Association has selected Cabarrus <br />Soil and Water Conservation District Secretary- Treasurer, Ned Hudson, <br />as the 2013 North Carolina Outstanding Conservation District Board <br />Member. Mr. Hudson's nomination is now under consideration for <br />recognition at the national level. This award is presented annually to <br />recognize the professionalism and dedication of the people working <br />behind conservation district programs across the nation. Mr. Hudson was <br />previously recognized by his peers as Supervisor of the Year in 2008, a <br />year after he served as the President of the North Carolina Association of <br />Soil and Water Conservation Districts. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Recognize Commissioner Larry Burrage, liaison to Cabarrus Soil and <br />Water Conservation District, to present the 2013 North Carolina <br />Outstanding Conservation District Board Member plaque to Ned Hudson. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />C-7 <br />Page 52 <br />
