CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 18, 2013 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Recognitions and Presentations <br />SUBJECT: <br />CCS - Recognition of Cabarrus County Schools Personnel <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners would like to recognize the <br />honors awarded to the following Cabarrus County Schools (CCS) <br />personnel: <br />Emily Riley, Cabarrus County Special Olympics Coordinator, was chosen <br />as "2013 Special Olympics of North Carolina's Coordinator of the Year ". <br />Ms. Riley was presented her award at the Special Olympics North <br />Carolina Leadership Conference on August 8, 2013. <br />Lynn Rhymer, Central Cabarrus High School Principal, was named "2013 <br />Well Fargo Principal of the Year for Cabarrus County Schools" by a <br />program co- sponsored by Wells Fargo and the North Carolina Department <br />of Public Instruction. Ms. Rhymer will go on to compete against other <br />principals throughout the state, as the selection process for the 2013 <br />Wells Fargo Principal of the Year continues. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Recognize Emily Riley and Lynn Rhymer for their awarded honors. <br />Commend them for their achievements and service to Cabarrus County. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />C -3 Page 52 <br />
