NORTH CAROLINA <br />DOT CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />DATE: 10/22/2013 <br />NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION <br />AND WBS Elements: 43370 <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into on the last date executed below, by and between the <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation, an agency of the State of North Carolina, hereinafter <br />referred to as the "Department' and the Cabarrus County, hereinafter referred to as the "County ". <br />vimiiiā€¢I0Y0Y4kWJ <br />WHEREAS, the Department and the County propose to make certain traffic control improvements <br />under said project in Cabarrus County; and, <br />WHEREAS, the County has agreed to participate in the cost of the project as hereinafter set out. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto, each in consideration of the promises and undertakings of <br />the other as herein provided, do hereby covenant and agree, each with the other, as follows: <br />SCOPE OF THE PROJECT <br />1, The Project consists of the extension of Raging Ridge Road, length approximately 0.3 miles, from <br />the end of pavement to Stallings Road (SR 1161) near Harrisburg in Cabarrus County. <br />PLANNING, DESIGN AND RIGHT OF WAY <br />2. The County shall prepare the environmental and/or planning document, and obtain any <br />environmental permits needed for the Project. The County shall prepare the roadway plans and <br />specifications needed to construct the Project. The Department shall prepare the structural <br />(bridge) plans and related specifications needed to construct the Project. All work shall be done <br />in accordance with departmental standards, specifications, policies and procedures. <br />3. The County shall be responsible for acquiring any needed right of way required for the Project. <br />Acquisition of right of way shall be accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures <br />set forth in the North Carolina Right of Way Manual. <br />Agreement ID # 4522 1 <br />Attachment number 2 <br />F -7 Page 90 <br />
