Current Town of Harrisburg Ordinance: <br />97.03 FIREARMS, EXPLOSIVES, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, DRUGS AND DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to bring into the park or have in his or her possession in the <br />park the following: <br />(A) — Any rifle, shotgun, BB gun, spring gun, slingshot, bow, or other weapon in which the <br />propelling force is gunpowder a spring or air, or any explosive of any kind. Upon entering the park any <br />of the above weapons which a person possesses must be made inoperative and placed in an enclosed <br />area that is not readily accessible. <br />New Proposed Town of Harrisburg Ordinance: <br />97.03 FIREARMS, EXPLOSIVES, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, DRUGS AND DANGEROUS <br />SUBSTANCES. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to bring into the park or have in his or her possession in the <br />park the following: <br />(A) — Any person openly carrying a rifle, shotgun, BB gun, spring gun, slingshot, bow, or other <br />weapon in which the propelling force is gunpowder a spring or air, or any explosive of any kind. Upon <br />entering the park any of the above weapons which a person possesses must be made inoperative and <br />placed in an enclosed area that is not readily accessible. <br />(B) — Persons legally permitted to carry concealed handguns may conceal carry in parks and <br />recreational facilities with the following exceptions: <br />1. Athletic fields, including appurtenant facilities during organized athletic events. <br />Appurtenant facilities include but are not limited to: restrooms, concession stand and <br />storage areas. <br />2. Municipal swimming pools, including any appurtenant facilities; including but not <br />limited to dressing rooms, storage areas of personal items, or other uses related to <br />the swimming pool. <br />3.
