CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 16, 2013 <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Sheriff - Approval of the Trade -in /Surplus of Duty Weapons <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Sheriff's Office is requesting to trade -in 140 older Sig Sauer P226 .40 <br />caliber handguns in exchange for brand new Sig Sauer P226 .40 caliber <br />handguns. Lawmen's, a state contract vendor for firearms, has extended <br />this trade -in offer to the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office. Lawmen's is <br />offering to give the Sheriff's Office $400 per handgun, with the new <br />handgun costing $199.99.
