ADDITION <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 16, 2013 <br />Ir <br />` �is��llJll <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Foundation Repair on Mt. Pleasant Emergency <br />Communications Tower <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />It has been determined that the foundation for the Mt. Pleasant <br />Emergency Communications Tower needs major repairs and <br />enhancement. The cost of the work will be split by Cabarrus County and <br />private providers with space leased on that tower. All work will be <br />managed by the County and engineering consultants hired for that <br />purpose. All costs for this project will be paid from the Construction & <br />Renovation Fund set up to pay for telecommunications equipment and <br />partially funded by rental receipts for this tower. This work must be done <br />as soon as possible to ensure the integrity of the structure. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve an expansion of the existing contract with Professional <br />Resources & Services (PRS). <br />Motion to approve the attached budget amendment to the Construction & <br />Renovation Fund. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
