Cabarrus County Budget Amendment Request <br />Date: 12/6/2013 <br />UPDATED <br />Amount: $146,545.00 <br />Dept. Head: Susan Fearrington, Asst. Finance Director Department: Construction & Renovation Fund <br />Internal Transfer Within Department Transfer Between Departments /Funds u Supplemental Request <br />Purpose: <br />Radio tower fees are being collected from three cellular companies that occupy space on the Communications tower located at Mt. <br />Pleasant High School. This budget amendment increases the Tower Rental Fee revenue account and corresponding Equipment <br />expenditure account to the estimated revenue that will be collected through June 30, 2014. Approximately $88,000 is collected <br />annually and recorded in the multi -year Construction and Renovation Fund. Foundation repairs are being made on the Mt. Pleasant <br />Emergency Communications Tower. The costs for the project will be paid from the Construction & Renovations Fund. The costs will <br />be split between Cabarrus County and private providers.
