CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />r <br />DECEMBER 16, 2013 <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments and Removals - Cabarrus County Senior Centers Advisory <br />Council <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />At the November 18, 2013 meeting, the Cabarrus County Senior Centers <br />Advisory Council voted unanimously to recommend the appointment of <br />Sharon Hatley, Pat Martin, Earnest Morrissey and Mary Watts to three - <br />year terms ending December 31, 2016. <br />The terms of appointment for Kay Scott, Jean Chandler, Anita Helms, <br />Virginia "Boots" Walker, end December 31, 2013. It is requested to <br />remove their names from the roster. Kay Scott, Jean Chandler and Anita <br />Helms are not eligible for reappointment since they are completing their <br />second three -year terms. Virginia "Boots" Walker is eligible for <br />reappointment, but declined due to personal reasons. <br />The CCSC Advisory Council voted unanimously to re- appoint Annette <br />Young to a three -year term ending December 31, 2016. <br />Jean Chandler is a Cabarrus delegate to the Region F Aging Advisory <br />Council and will fill that position on the Council. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to appoint Sharon Hatley, Pat Martin, Earnest Morrissey and Mary <br />Watts to the Cabarrus County Senior Centers Advisory Council for three - <br />year terms ending December 31, 2016. <br />Motion to re- appoint Annette Young to the Cabarrus County Senior <br />H -5 Page 407 <br />
