CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />r <br />DECEMBER 16, 2013 <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments and Removals - Food Policy Council (FPC) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The following members have expiring terms and are not seeking <br />reappointment to the Food Policy Council: <br />Gina Guthrie, Ed Hosack, David Bettendorf, David Kataja, Dana Ritchie, <br />Greg Kesterson and Chad VonCannon. <br />Several members with expiring terms respectfully request to be <br />reappointed to the Food Policy Council for three -year terms ending on <br />December 31, 2016. The members recommended for reappointment are <br />Erin Bayer, Chris Jones, Penelope Perkins - Veazie and Lisa Wacheldorf. <br />The following applicants are recommended for appointment to the Food <br />Policy Council for three -year terms ending on December 31, 2016: Dawn <br />Simone "At- large ", Jim Dudley "Hunger Relief ", Rene Shuford "At- large" <br />and James Douglas Crawford "Food Production ". <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to appoint Dawn Simone "At- large ", Jim Dudley "Hunger Relief ", <br />Rene Shuford "At- large" and James Douglas Crawford "Food Production" <br />to the Food Policy Council for three -year terms ending December 31, <br />2016. <br />Motion to reappoint Erin Bayer "Medical Industry ", Chris Jones "Food <br />Distribution ", Penelope Perkins - Veazie "Education" and Lisa Wacheldorf <br />"Food Distribution" to the Food Policy Council for three -year terms ending <br />December 31, 2016. <br />H -6 Page 412 <br />
