Southeast Cabarrus Park Meeting Minutes WD CKSON <br />COmmunity infFastruCture COnsultont3 <br />DATE: September 9, 2009 <br />ATTENDEES: LONDA STRONG, JONATHAN MARSHALL, CHRIS FURR, DENNIS TESTERMAN, RANDY <br />DANIELS, KATHY KITTS, PERRY GABRIEL, HEATHERJOHANNES, BARBARAWALKER, RHONDA HARRISON, <br />TIM LOWDER, BILLY ROYAL, JOEL MOULIN — IN ADDITION TO THE COMMITTEE MEMBERS LISTED ABOVE, <br />THERE WERE ALSO BETWEEN 30 -40 MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE. THE PUBLIC MEMBERS <br />WERE ASKED TO SIGN IN AND THE SIGN IN SHEET IS BEING RETAINED FOR RECORDS. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to allow the general public to develop ideas on which <br />amenities would be best suited for the park based on previous committee input and to also <br />establish the best location within the park boundary for the chosen amenities. <br />• Key amenities were discussed based on previous steering committee meetings, <br />recommendations and the most up to date Conceptual Master Plan. The meeting <br />began with a presentation outlining the scheduling procedure, the current plan, site <br />photos and architectural renderings. After the initial presentation, an additional slide <br />show was offered that highlighted photos of some of the proposed amenities of the <br />master plan. After viewing photos, the public was asked for recommendations of <br />amenities to be included in the Conceptual Master Plan. The public completely <br />supported the park and there was no opposition at the meeting.
