CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />1� <br />'- - 1 1 <br />pTBcA�a 1 - <br />��fiiffJfl /�� <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Convert Board Approved Policies to Administrative <br />Policies <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />On June 16, 2003 the board approved the Technology Appropriate Use <br />Policy (policy provides guidelines in the appropriate use of county <br />computers and other electronic resources) and on January 24, 2005, the <br />board approved the Inclement Weather Plan (policy provides guidelines to <br />address county operations during times of inclement weather). Both <br />policies are administrative in nature and need flexibility to be modified as <br />operational changes occur. It would be beneficial to the management <br />team if these policies were converted from a Board - approved policy to an <br />administrative policy subject to change at the county manager's discretion. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve changing the Technology Appropriate Use Policy and <br />the Inclement Weather Plan from Board - approved polices to <br />administrative policies. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Pamela S.
