CABARRUS COUNTY
*
REGULAR MEETING
p TBcAali rl FEB RUARY
fiiffJfl /
1
AGENDA CATEGORY:
Recognitions and Presentations
SUBJECT:
Presentation of Eagle Scout Project at Ruth's Memorial Shelter (A
Humane Society Facility)
BRIEF SUMMARY:
Aaron Furr, an Eagle Scout Candidate, Troop 52, St. Stephens Lutheran
Church, selected Ruth's Memorial Shelter, a Humane Society of Concord
& Greater Cabarrus County facility, to complete his Eagle project. He
decided to install a walkway on the right side of the new Humane Society
facility on Wilshire Court in Concord. This walkway allows clear access to
the building from the side for animal entry.
Aaron raised the money to purchase the pavers, rock and sand in order to
complete the project. He arranged for the other members of his troop to
come out on a Saturday and help install the pavers. Prior to the
installation of the walkway, the ground stayed wet and caused the entry
way to always be tracked with mud.
He will present an overview of his Boy Scout Eagle project at the regular
meeting.
REQUESTED ACTION:
Recognize Aaron Furr, Eagle Scout Candidate and commend him for a
job well done.
EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION:
5 Minutes
SUBMITTED BY:
C -1 Page 38
