Turner <br />Exhibit D <br />CABARRUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br />AMENDMENT # 5 TO THE GMP — 6 T & 7 T FLOOR ALTERATIONS <br />BASIS OF THE ESTIMATE <br />MWBE and Local Participation <br />Turner Construction is committed to working toward the County's goal for MWBE and local <br />participation. During the competitive bidding phase of this project Turner Construction has <br />advertised, contacted, and encouraged the local subcontractor market to help obtain the initial <br />MWBE/Local participation percentage. However, after the bidding and contract awarding <br />phases have been completed, no other participation reporting will be performed by Turner <br />Construction. <br />The MWBE and local participation percentage committed to -date by the anticipated awarded <br />Subcontractors for the Sheriff's Dept. 6 th and 7 th Floor Alterations is 20% of the Direct Work. <br />General Conditions <br />The General Conditions for Amendment # 5 — Sheriff's Department 6 th and 7 th Floor Alterations <br />have been included at a lump sum, non - auditable cost of $ 135,336.00 and follow the Contract <br />matrix breakdown. This general conditions cost is assuming a construction start date occurring <br />on or before March 29 2012. Turner Construction will endeavor to meet the overall Contract <br />cap amount of 15.52% for fee & general conditions in Article 9 — Section C. <br />Payment & Performance Bonds <br />A Payment and Performance Bond has been included in Amendment #5 at a cost of $ 11,145.00. <br />If the bond premium rates change prior to Owner authorization Turner reserves the right to make <br />the necessary cost adjustment. <br />Page 7 of 24 <br />Exhibit — Basis of the Estimate <br />1 of 1 MarAhn§ nAQJ <br />F -3 Page 47 <br />
