Respondents indicated a strong third <br />choice (43.9 %) as being Applicants with Poor Attitude or Presentation. <br />Respondents also submitted several written comments, particularly <br />related to employer's observation of younger workers and those making <br />initial entry into the workforce. <br />"My biggest problem is not having a pool of applicants that <br />have the skills and experience that we need. They may have <br />one or the other but not both. " <br />Attitude, enthusiasm and appropriate attire are the key <br />basics. Experience and education is next. " <br />"Not enough machinists have set -up and programming <br />experience. " <br />"Criminal backgrounds among veterans are hindering them <br />from qualifying for many employment opportunities.
