Ord., passed 1- 12 -09) <br />§ 52.02 SERVICES NOT PROVIDED BY TOWN. <br />§ $2,01 SERVICES PROVIDED BY TOWN. <br />(A) The town will collect: <br />1 <br />(1) Residential yard waste. Tree limbs and <br />branches no more than six feet in length and 12 <br />inches in diameter stacked loosely with out ends <br />towards the street, shrubs, flowers and other small <br />plants, grass clippings and leaves. All grass clippings <br />and leaves shall be loose (not bagged) and free of all <br />other debris (sticks, rocks, dirt, paper and the like). <br />(2) Residentialbulkitems. Small quantities <br />of carpet, padding, shingles and other construction <br />debris, white goods, residential furniture, large <br />cardboard boxes (broken down and stacked), <br />disassembled metal items (i.e. playground <br />equipment, swing -sets and the like), doors, windows, <br />decking material and lawn care equipment (drained <br />of all fluids and with tires removed). These items <br />must have belonged to the owner of the residence <br />and have been previously located there. <br />(B) All yard waste and bulk items to be <br />collected shall be placed within the street <br />right -of -way at the back of the curb without <br />extending into the gutter or street itself. Yard waste <br />placed behind the curb shall not exceed a distance of <br />six feet from the back of the curb into the property. <br />All items shall be placed a minimum of eight feet <br />from any sign, water meter, mailbox, landscaping, <br />1pw hanging overhead utilities or any other <br />obstruction, <br />(C) Collection of yard waste and bulk items will <br />occur on a weekly schedule developed by the Public <br />Works Director or his or her designee. No more than <br />seven cubic yards (eight feet long by four feet high <br />r'= ; by six feet wide) of yard waste will be collected from <br />each residence in a one week period. Larger <br />2009S-13 <br />48 <br />(A) The town shall not collect: <br />(1) Anything from vacant lots, <br />(2) Tree trunks, tree stumps and tree limbs <br />in excess of six feet in length or 12 - inches in <br />diameter. <br />(3) Building material scraps. <br />(4) Waste building materials, lot clearings, <br />or tree trimmings from houses or other structures <br />under construction or recently completed. <br />(5) Any other type of trash or bagged <br />material, <br />(6) Tires. <br />(7) Batteries. <br />(8) Oil, paint or other toxic liquids. <br />(9) Demolition debris (i.e. dirt, rock, <br />bricks, sod, asphalt, concrete and the like). <br />(10) Debris or waste generated by <br />commercial operations. <br />(11) Any material the town deems unsafe for <br />its employees to handle. <br />(B) When a resident or property owner hires <br />someone to trim trees, it is his or her responsibility to <br />dispose of tree limbs and trimmings. <br />(Ord, 509, passed 2- 11 -91; Am.
