REVISED <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR <br />el <br />JULY 16� 2012 <br />• P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance - Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCB) Reallocation Request <br />for Concord High School $42,000 and Central Cabarrus High School $20,000 <br />and Winecoff Elementary $31,500 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cabarrus County School Board is requesting a reallocation of $42,000 at <br />Concord High School, a reallocation of $20,000 between JN Fries Middle and <br />Central Cabarrus High Schools and a net reallocation of $31,500 between JN <br />Fries Middle, Mt. Pleasant Middle and Winecoff Elementary. QSCB funds of <br />$42,000 will be reallocated from the Concord High School Chiller <br />Replacement project to the Technology upgrades project. Per the School <br />Board, the chiller replacement projects came in under budget and the funds <br />are needed to upgrade the Technology throughout the entire school. QSCB <br />funds of $20,000 will be reallocated from the JN Fries Reeef server project to <br />the Central Cabarrus Chiller project. Per the School Board, the JN Fries Roof <br />project came in under budget and the funds can be used at Central Cabarrus <br />to install a chemical free water treatment system, a cooling tower platform <br />and ladder. QSCB funds of $17,254 will be reallocated from the JN Fries A' e <br />server project and $14,246 will be reallocated from the Mt. Pleasant Middle <br />Server project to the Winecoff Elementary Server project. Per the School <br />Board, the JN Fries Roof project and the Mt. Pleasant Middle Server projects <br />came in under budget and the funds can be used at Winecoff Elementary to <br />cover the server project that came in over budget. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve /disapprove the reallocation of $42,000 from the QSCB <br />Concord High School Chiller project to the Concord High School Technology <br />project, the reallocation of $20,000 from the JN Fries Roof project to the <br />F -9 Page 117 <br />
