Home Occupation, Rural <br />Agricultural /Open, Countryside Residential, Low <br />Density Residential, Medium Density Residential districts <br />The following lists those occupations, which may be <br />conducted as a rural home occupation (RHO). The Rural Home Occupation differs from the <br />home occupation in that it is not required to be conducted within the residence proper, but <br />may be in another building accessory to the residence. Slightly more intense <br />uses may occur within the RHO since it is sited within less densely settled areas. <br />Accounting, Bookkeeping <br />Tailoring, Dressmaking, Alteration <br />Services <br />Appraisal <br />Architecture <br />Auto Repair Work - Permitted as PBS in <br />Agriculture /Open only. <br />Building Contractor's Storage Yard <br />Including Electrical, Plumbing, & <br />Mechanical <br />Computer Repair /Programming <br />Landscape Contractor <br />Legal Services <br />Real Estate Sales <br />Insurance Sales <br />Daycare with Eight Children or Less (See <br />NCGS §110 -86) <br />Engineering <br />Financial Planning and Investment <br />Services <br />Fine Arts Studio <br />Interior Decoration <br />Mail Order Business <br />Musical Instruction, Voice or Instrument <br />Photo Laboratory or Studio <br />Planning <br />Tutoring <br />One Chair Beauty for Barber Shop <br />Office Work <br />Drafting Services <br />Similar, Low Impact Endeavor <br />a. The Rural Home Occupation may be carried out in no more than one <br />building separate from the primary residence. <br />b. 94side steFaqe.
