TOWN OF MIDLAND <br />A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT <br />FOR THE OLD BETHEL SCHOOL SITE <br />TO BE USED FOR CIVIC AND /OR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES <br />Resolution #2011 -70 <br />Whereas, the Town of Midland Town Council and its citizens have a significant interest in the <br />future use of the Old Bethel School building and property; <br />Whereas, in the Land Use Plan 2030, the Town of Midland citizens made clear their desire to <br />keep the Old Bethel School a part of the Midland community through revitalization; <br />Whereas, the Midland Town Council and community have made recent efforts to preserve the <br />Old Bethel School by creating committees such as the Save the Old Bethel School Committee; <br />Whereas, the Midland Town Council believes civic and educational uses at the Old Bethel <br />School will lend itself well to preserving the Old Bethel School site; <br />Whereas, the presence of civic and educational campuses in a community enhances the quality <br />of life for citizens and businesses. <br />Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Town of Midland supports the future use of the Old <br />Bethel School building and property for civic and educational purposes. <br />Adopted this the 12t' day of April, 2011 <br />Attest /Seal <br />L, <br />E. &vden AMC, Town Clerk <br />
