Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance <br />Chapter 8- Conditional Uses <br />REBUILDING DAMAGED OR DESTROYED NONCONFORMING TOWERS OR ANTENNAS - <br />Notwithstanding this Section, bona fide nonconforming towers or antennas that are <br />damaged or destroyed by weather events or other non - manmade causes are not <br />to conform to the requirements of this Ordinance provided the type, height, <br />and location of the tower onsite shall be of the same type and intensity as the original <br />facility; provided, however, that any destroyed lattice or guyed tower shall be replaced <br />with a monopole structure only. If no permit is obtained or if s-a+ such permit expires, <br />the tower or antenna shall be deemed abandoned. <br />SECTION 13 Duration of Permit <br />The county may condition a permit on a requirement to construct the facility within a <br />reasonable period of time, which shall be no less than two (2) years. <br />Table 1 Separation Requirements from Offsite Uses /Areas <br />Single- family eF duplex residential <br />units [1] <br />Vacant hex <br />residentially zoned land -which is <br />either platted or has preliminary plat <br />Tower shall be located a minimum of the tower <br />approval which is not expired [2] <br />height plus 50' from any property line.
