ADDITION <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />* <br />REGULAR <br />AUGUST 2 0, 2012 <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - NC Cooperative Extension Service Request for Special <br />Leave <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The State budget for FY 2012 -13 included an additional 40 hours of paid <br />leave for State employees. Local Cooperative Extension employees are <br />compensated in part by the local jurisdiction. The Director of County <br />Operations, Sheri Schwab, has requested action by the local jurisdictions <br />to either award the local proportional share of the awarded leave or not. <br />Local Cooperative Extension employees are not eligible for the additional <br />8 hours of leave that the BOC awarded County employees as part of the <br />County's FY 2012 -13 budget. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to agree to award or not award the proportional match for the <br />"Special Leave ". <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
