RESOLUTION EXPRESSING SUPPORT <br />OF <br />THE CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />TO REVIEW ABANDONMENT AND CLOSURE <br />OF <br />A PORTION OF STATE ROAD STATE ROAD NUMBER 2438 <br />ALSO KNOWN AS BOSTIAN FISHER ROAD <br />WHEREAS, North Carolina State Road 2438 in Cabarrus County is known as Bostian <br />Fisher Road, being a paved road approximately 1 mile in length, with the last 385 feet being the <br />portion requested to be abandoned. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus is <br />requesting that the above described road, the location of which has been indicated on the <br />attached map, be abandoned from the Secondary Road System; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is of the opinion that the above described road <br />should be abandoned from the Secondary Road System, if the road meets minimum standards <br />and criteria established by the Division of Highways of the Department of <br />Transportation and Highway Safety for the abandonment of roads from the System. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Board of County Commissioners of <br />the County of Cabarrus that the Division of Highways is hereby requested to review the above <br />described road and to cease maintenance of same road if it meets established standards and <br />criteria. <br />Adopted this day of , 2012. <br />Elizabeth F.
