CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />1� <br />p TBcA�a 11i NOVEMBER 19 <br />��fiiffJfl /�� <br />6: 30 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance - Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCB) Reallocation Request <br />for Cabarrus County Schools $50,522 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cabarrus County Finance staff are requesting QSCB reallocations <br />totaling $50,522 which are outlined on the enclosed memo. Budget increases <br />are needed for the Mt. Pleasant Elementary School A/C Replacement project <br />($16,774), Central Cabarrus High School Window project ($31,836) and the <br />J.N. Fries Middle /PLC Renovations project ($1,912). The project budget <br />increases will be funded through reductions in three projects that are either <br />completed or virtually completed: Northwest Cabarrus Middle School Heat <br />Pump Replacement project ($16,774), Concord Chillers and Controls project <br />($31,836), and Beverly Hills Elementary School Windows project ($1,912). <br />The Cabarrus County School Board presented the enclosed budget <br />amendment for consideration at the BOC work session on November 5, 2012. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve /disapprove the Cabarrus County School's QSCB <br />reallocation of various project budgets totaling $50,522. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Len Witke, Cabarrus County Schools <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />G -3 Page 225 <br />
