F. Severe Winter Storms. Because of the infrequent occurrence of such storms, Harrisburg <br />is not completely equipped to handle the demands on its public works caused by such events. <br />Highway and state road clearance is done by the NC Department of Transportation. The priority <br />is to clear the main highways and those areas needed for public safety.
