After working to remove the books in the collection that were in the worst condition along with
those severely out of date, it was determined by the branch manager that the subject areas that 1J
needed the most updating in the adult non - fiction collection are health and medical, job search,
career, small business, technology information, travel, personal finance and legal resources. The
juvenile non - fiction collection biggest needs are geography (countries, states), history, biography,
science and sports.
The proposed project entails purchasing 595 adult non - fiction books and 785 juvenile non - fiction
books.
