Return on Investment <br />Cabarrus Economic Development is responsible for recruiting new and expanding businesses in <br />Cabarrus County. Specifically, charged with diversifying and expanding the tax base by <br />bringing more jobs to the county. New local jobs for Cabarrus County citizen's means more <br />money will be spent at local businesses and other people will move to the area infusing <br />additional money into the system. <br />• Small business visits — ongoing <br />• Attend monthly Town Council meetings — ongoing <br />• Available land and buildings in Mt. Pleasant listed on website database which includes <br />Charlotte Regional Partnership and NC Department of Commerce site /building website <br />databases. <br />• Included in Chamber's Legislative Agenda — 2010/2011 <br />• Active in Mt. Pleasant Business Association — 2009/2010 <br />• Chamber Annual Retreat Industry Tour - 2010 <br />• Elected Official industry visit - 2009 <br />• Tour of Mt.
