Cabarrus Sustainability Council <br />The mission of the council is to promote collaboration between the <br />public and private sectors in Cabarrus County, aimed at <br />conducting business in a manner consistent with three balanced k <br />principles of sustainability: a healthy environment, a sound <br />financial position, and social equity. Cabarrus County promotes <br />these principles through several key community initiatives, <br />including development of a viable local food system, land -use <br />regulations for sustainable development, conservation, and the use of sustainable products and <br />practices. <br />The Cabarrus Sustainability Council meets the first Thursday of every month in the Cabarrus <br />Regional Chamber of Commerce Board Room. <br />PI <br />
